The Commonwealth at COP30

A �� delegation of international climate policy experts will attend The 2025 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Belém, Brazil.

We stand with our 56 member countries to turn ambition into action. From championing small and climate-vulnerable states to unlocking fairer climate finance, we bring together leaders, youth and business to scale solutions for a just transition.

Commonwealth Climate Change Programme

The climate crisis affects every member of the Commonwealth. The �� helps member states tackle climate change and adapt to its worst impacts.

Oceans

We assist member countries to sustainably manage their natural resources, in the ocean and on land, for the benefit of current and future generations.

Energy and natural resources

For over 55 years, we have assisted member countries in the good governance of their natural resources and support their sustainable energy transition.

Small States

Thirty-three of the world’s 42 small states are Commonwealth members. We have championed small and vulnerable states since the 1980s and campaign internationally for special attention to the unique development challenges they face.

Commonwealth Blue Charter

The Commonwealth Blue Charter is an agreement by all 56 Commonwealth member countries to actively cooperate to solve ocean-related challenges and meet commitments for sustainable ocean action.

Living Lands Charter

Member countries agree to safeguard global land resources, take coordinated action to address climate change, biodiversity loss and desertification, and promote sustainable land management.

Commonwealth Climate Finance Access Hub

We help Commonwealth member countries to unlock their available climate finance by assisting small and vulnerable member states to bid for and gain increased access.

Gender-responsive climate action

The Commonwealth Collaborative Network on Gender-responsive Climate Action is designed to support Commonwealth member countries to achieve the long-term mitigation and adaptation goals of the Paris Agreement in an inclusive and gender-responsive manner.
